Prices are increasing, and we need your support.

TL;DR:

Effective 8/11/2022, we’ll be raising prices for Vite Ramen for single orders.

Our expenses and fixed costs have risen 52.4% since the start of the year, and material costs for Vite Ramen have similarly increased by 58.3%.

On subscriptions, we’ll continue having a grace period for anyone who wants to lock in current prices, ending 8/13/2022, 11:59PM PST before subscription prices increase as well. Because of the sudden price shocks and how fast this had to happen, I’ll put the 30% subscription deal back up. Use "THANKYOU30" for 30% off any subscription until 8/13/22 11:59PM.

Prices are increasing, and we need your support.

Well... This is something we talked about in May, but unfortunately, inflationary pressures have caught up to us, and we’re forced to face the uncomfortable truth.

Vite Ramen has to have a price increase of about 19% to keep up with all the price increases we’ve suffered lately. This not only includes the price of raw materials, but corresponding prices of all kinds of things from insurance to utilities to everything you can think of.

We’d hoped to be able to absorb the costs, but we’re unable to do so. I have to admit defeat here. If we are to continue, we have to raise prices to match.

Our expenses and fixed costs have risen 52.4% since the start of the year, and material costs for Vite Ramen have similarly increased by 58.3%. It’s been a rise that we’d hoped would level off, but didn’t ever do so.

I’m not sure what else to say. I wish this was something we didn’t have to do, but we’re forced to respond by economic realities, and we’re raising prices as little as we can. I think I tried to avoid having to do this for too long, as it feels terrible each time.

There’s a certain irony not lost to me that we just offered the 30% subscription deal we had scheduled out a while ago, and then all the finished analysis and news hit so soon afterwards.

On subscriptions, we’ll continue having a grace period for anyone who wants to lock in current prices, ending 8/13/2022, 11:59PM PST before we increase subscription prices as well. This means that even after the price increase, so long as you keep your subscription, you’ll be able to keep the current pricing you have.

Because of the sudden price shocks and how fast this had to happen, I’ll put the 30% subscription deal back up for the time being, ending 8/13/2022 as well. It’s the least we can do now, and all we can offer. Use "THANKYOU30" for 30% off any subscription until 8/13/2022 11:59PM.

And as always, thank you for your support.

  • I love that you folks are always so honest and transparent with us! If only more other companies would do that, I would feel more comfortable about their price hikes, but they don’t. I really love your company and your product and I’ll continue to support you! I believe in you! And I love the noods!

  • Your thoughtful post is appreciated, but…
    - You haven’t been defeated at anything (at the very least related to this)
    - You have nothing to feel badly or apologize for

The reality of owning a business is that sometimes business costs increase and thus the related price of that’s business’ goods or services need to increase. It’s not fun to have to execute, but it is what it is.

It would have been more of a defeat for you to have NOT increased prices.

I love Viteramen. The only way I get to keep having Viteramen is if the business is profitable. Of course I wish it was 10 cents a pack like the old school instant ramen used to be, but I’m also happy to pay a fair price for a great product.

    Thanks for what you do!

  • Just want to say, price hikes don’t make me happy, and it does make it more difficult to make the decision to purchase Vite Ramen. If it was any other company, silently raising prices, I think I would have stopped buying. But the transparency means a lot to me, and the urge to support this ethical small business with a unique product & mission means a lot to me, even if it’s not the easiest purchasing decision to make.

I hope you will maintain the same values and culture going forward! Love Vite Ramen and Vite Kitchens.

  • Can additional products be added to an existing subscription? I’d like to add a jar of nanoboost, but it looks like I have to set up a second subscription for the nanoboost.
    Help!
